Turnstones look great at this time of year and these are in breeding plumage. After spending winterbin Shetland these will be leaving t o breed in the arctic, although a few non- breeders will stay in Shetland
We have around 100 down in the south mainland with the majority on Grutness beach or at the pool, others can be found at west Voe or Virkie
