Back in Shetland

It was good to get back to Shetland after a few weeks back in Sheffield

Although the weather was not too good we went down to Grutness to see what was about

At the pier this Red Throated Diver surfaced right in front of me, such an elegant bird and one of four in the bay

 

Lots of waders on the beach including these Sanderling, including one very aggresive bird
