Had a trip up to Sumburgh Head. At first it looked like nothing was about but i stood looking at the line of rosebushes and birds started to appearIt was good to see Redstarts so close, at the roses and around the lighthouse, one very confiding

The Greenish Warbler found yesterday suddenly appeared for a few seconds just in front of me but then disappeared for the next hour, with whitethroat, Willow Warbler, Garden Warbler and a few Blackbirds
Both Spotted and Pied Flycatchers were present in Hoswick along with an Icterine warbler, Six willow Warblers and a Garden Warbler
The rare Hudsonian Godwit was again at Sumbugh airport but keeping low in the vegetation
