Not often you see this behaviour by an Arctic skua
I was down at the new hide at Spiggie when an Arctic Skua attacked and seem to kill and adult ringed Plover which it took into a hidden bay.
The following day i was back again and saw what appeared to be the same Skua bring in a dead bird
It landed in a closer bay and started to tuck in. Normally you can see them attacking terns in an effort to rob the fish
I believe this prey to be a Starling.
I have seen more Arctic Skuas than Gt Skuas this year which appear to be greatly reduced due to bird flu.
