This pair of Blue Headed Wagtails have been present now for at least 4 days staying faithful to the same patch of rough grassland
They kept their distance and stayed to the middle of the patch, flying up to perch on tall weeds, which bounced around in the wind making photography difficult
The female is a much duller colour while the male very bright as usual. They may even stay to nest.

Blue Headed Wagtails normally breed in Europe and Asia. it is an insectivorous bird which prefers to be near water. This pair was near a stream and near a sea loch
