Shetland Orcas

We were having lunch when we had a message saying Orcas had just arrived at Broonies Taing, just where we used to stay on holiday

They came round Noness and came close to a boat

Couldn't believe this, a paddle boarder going out to see the Orcas, no life jacket

 They moved down the coast scaring a few seals and then moved out slightly making steady progress

 This is pod 27 with 8 animals present, increase from 4 in 2008

 Last month this pod was seen in Fair isle

They move towards Lerwick and could be seen there about 4 hours later. Today the same pod was seen early in the morning at Nesting
