Its great to be able to watch common seals just a few mins from the house

They are all smiling because the Orcas have only been down in the south mainland a few times, which has given time for numbers to recover

This book has been released just as the puffins have come back to the cliffs at Sumburgh Head RSPB reserve

 It was good to see a Slavioian Grebe close up at Whiteness the other day.

We have a number wintering , especially along the westide voes, but normally in winter plumage
