Shetland Storm Force photography
Shetland, United Kingdom
Shetland is a magical place to visit and even better to live in. You really feel close to nature, there is so much to see and learn. The landscape is for ever changing under the wind blown sky. Shetland has to be one of the best UK destinations for photography. The light is so clear and crisp, the weather is constantly changing giving superb cloud formations. Being a dark site destination Shetland is always going to be great for astrophotography, although very challenging with windy nights.I use an Olympus OM1-2 with a 150-400mm lens, and a 90mm for macro earlier i used a Sony A1 cameras with a Sony 200-600mm lens as well as a macro 90mm Contact shetsip@gmail.comI have published 6 books -`Shetland Aurora Hunter, Shetland Puffins , Amazing Shetland, Mirrie Dancers, WW2 Shetland -Lerwick, WW2 South Mainland, also photos and articles published in Shetland Times, Shetland Bird Report, Shetland Life, Shetland accommodation Guide, Shetland Visitor, Seabirds journal, an exhibition of work at Hoswick Visitor centre ; Islesburgh - Shetland.
