Shetland thrushes

The Thrushes still keep coming with another fall today, again lots of Redwing and Blackbird with a small number of Song Thrush

 In Lerwick 3 Cattle Egret arrived late in the day and a Pallas Warbler turned up with an Upland Sandpiper in Unst

Brambling

Its always good to see some colourful Brambling. Alot arrived with Thrushes a few days agao and lots seem to have stayed in Shetland

The orange colour really shows well with any sun on the bird. I have seen several flocks of up to 100 birds

This was a flock of approx 70 birds down at Sumburgh
